Black teas vary according to the hybrid, harvest season, pick style, and processing. We currently offer over 35 varieties of seasonal black teas and black tea blends beautifully flavored with popped rice, dried fruits, flowers, spices and oils.
Black tea is more oxidized than the green, oolong and white teas and therefore is generally stronger in flavor and contains more caffeine. Black tea is sour and thick when young, but can produce the deeper flavor of red wine and fruit as it ages. We also offer well-known Fujian black teas such as Golden Monkey and Lapsang Souchong. There are even wild tree varietals which only recently are being processed into black teas. There is a wonderful world of black teas out there to discover!
